Ryan Agoncillo hosted “Talentadong Pinoy” on the old TV5 that ran for 7 seasons from 2008 to 2013. Contestants can perform any act, so singers and dancers joined, also musicians, jugglers, magicians, ventriloquists and stand up comedians. It was a toprater until Ryan left it. Now, Ryan will once again rally talented Pinoys in the new show, “Bangon Talentadong Pinoy!”

During this pandemic, more and more Filipinos are turning to their many skills and talents to bounce back.  Just as we weathered many typhoons, earthquakes, even volcanic eruptions, Filipinos always find a way around whatever crisis – oftentimes even with smiles on their faces.  For us, resilience is not just a trait, it’s a talent.

“Bangon Talentadong Pinoy!” is a digital and television program that now celebrates the many ways Filipinos are proving this.  It will again showcase the very wide range and diversity of Filipino talent.   And this time, boasting a total cash prize of no less P2.8 million, a larger number of contestants can win anywhere from P2,000 to P5,000 to P50,000 even up to P250,000!

Original Talentadong Pinoy host Ryan Agoncillo returns to host the program – which will now be seen both online and on television via Cignal’s new free-to-air channel, OnePHTV!  “Now, more than ever, people need a show like this,” Ryan explained. “At first I wasn’t keen on doing something that I have already done before, but I was convinced when I heard the new concept for the show and the goal of bringing hope and financial reward to people at a time when they need it most.”

To join, contestants just need to like the “BANGON TALENTADONG PINOY!” Facebook page, then through a private message to the page, they can send their videos of their performance – be it a solo, duo or group performance.  If the video is too big, they can also send links of their videos.  If they are shortlisted by the Selection Committee, they will be contacted and be given further details.

“BANGON TALENTADONG PINOY!” will be produced by Cignal TV through The IdeaFirst Company.  The original team of Talentadong Pinoy will return: from director Rich Ilustre, writer Paolo Bustamante and producers Perci Intalan, Malou Escio-Gascon and Dacky Dacanay.  But this time creative direction will come from acclaimed filmmaker Jun Robles Lana.  “BANGON TALENTADONG PINOY!” is currently screening contestants and will go into production this coming month of July.
