Heads up, theater fans: an award-winning play is set to return next year.
Jun Robles Lana’s “Anino Sa Likod ng Buwan” will be staged at the PETA Theater Center in Quezon City in March 2025, with tickets to be made available this October.
It will be the debut production of IdeaFirst Live, the live performance arm of the film studio The IdeaFirst Company.
IdeaFirst Live is headed by Lana and fellow award-winning film and stage writer Elmer Gatchalian.

Directed by Gawad Buhay awardee Tuxqs Rutaquio, “Anino Sa Likod ng Buwan” will star Kate Alejandrino, Ross Pesigan, and Martin del Rosario, who were selected through a series of auditions.
The play, written in 1993, won the grand prize of the Bulwagang Gantimpala Playwriting Competition.
In 2015, The IdeaFirst Company produced a film version which won awards both in the Philippines and abroad.
