Piolo Pascual: “It’s like a dream come true for me.”
Piolo Pascual (left) on working with Vic Sotto (right) for the first time: “It’s like a dream come true for me, and sharing the screen with him is something I will always be proud of, forever cherished. Kasi, parang never in my wildest dreams na magkakaroon ako ng chance to work with him now.
“I was really kilig actually nung first na ma-meet ko si Bossing, kasi who would have thought we’d be able to work together coming from different stations?
“It’s like a dream come true for me, and sharing the screen with him is something I will always be proud of, forever cherished.
“Kasi, parang never in my wildest dreams na magkakaroon ako ng chance to work with him now. Para akong nananaginip hanggang ngayon.”
NO BONDING MOMENT ON THE SET
“Actually, we shot a scene a while ago. I have a big issue with him so I am using that hostility for the scene so wala talagang conversation.
“It’s a heavy drama so mahirap to break away from your character.”
“It was an easy yes. Mike and I have been talking about certain projects that we wanted to do together since he moved back here many, many years ago.
“And coming out of the hiatus, five years, he pitched to me the project. Right away, I said yes.
“How can you say no to a beautiful story and with Vic Sotto pa and a beautiful cast?
“And I’ve always wanted to work with Direk Mike. As much as he is a good friend, I believe in him as a director and his vision,” pahayag ni Piolo.
LUCKY ACTOR
Saad niya: “I feel blessed because of the fact that I am able to jump from one role to another and make it seamless in such a way that I get to do roles that are very diverse.
“These are, I guess, roles that really landed in my lap and for me, it’s a blessing. It’s not a conscious decision. I am just happy that the roles that come my way are roles that really challenge me.
“I guess coming from doing a lot of rom-coms growing up, growing in this business is a welcome departure, especially after coming out of a loveteam and being able to do roles that can fit my age.
“I am just happy that there are more roles that I can take on now than before.”
